A family heirloom has been delivered to your house. The clock is large and slightly ornate but so beautiful you make a place for it in your home. Every day you must wind it with the key that accompanies it. In the clock is a pendulum that swings with every second. Back and forth, tick tock, tick tock.

You can see the clock clearly from your seat on the sofa. Thoughts of the day leave you as the pendulum captures your attention.  Tick tock, it swings and swings. Watch the pendulum. You find yourself swaying as you match the pendulum’s swing. Tick….tock…. The pendulum starts to slow. Tick…...tock……. Tick….…...tock…….… Is it the pendulum that slows, or is it you that is slowing the pendulum? It continues to slow down. You feel very focused and very aware.
